Aims
KS3
Geography prepares students with the knowledge, skills and understanding to make sense of their world and to face the challenges that will shape our societies and environments at the local, national and global scales.
KS4
Geography helps to make sense of the world around us. It helps students to understand their place in the world and the interdependence of the human and natural environment; shaping them into responsible global citizens. Students will gain an understanding and appreciation of different cultures and will be able to link what is happening in the world to their studies. Geography will help young people to develop their analytical, evaluative and problem solving skills preparing them well for the world of work. Fieldwork outside the classroom enables students to investigate hypotheses in a practical way and to consolidate their learning.
