INSPIRING THE SCIENTISTS OF TOMORROW - SCIENCE LIVE

The day was packed with inspiring talks from some of the most renowned scientists in their fields, giving students a unique insight into the real-world applications of science and the vast career opportunities available through STEM learning. Throughout the event, students were captivated by fascinating discussions on a variety of scientific topics, including the neurobiology of laughter, Einstein’s theory of relativity and time travel, and an engaging session led by Lord Robert Winston, a world-leading fertility scientist. Each speaker brought science to life in an exciting and relatable way, demonstrating how the subject extends beyond the classroom and into everyday life. Students left the event “very happy, enthusiastic, and inspired”, especially by the thought-provoking idea that time travel could theoretically be possible. Their enthusiasm and engagement were a testament to their curiosity and passion for science. The GCSE Science Live trip was an unforgettable experience, sparking excitement and ambition in our young scientists. We hope this event has reinforced their love for science and inspired them to explore future careers in the field.
