Essex County Rugby 7's Tournament

The boys were very anxious on the way as they were aware that there would be some serious competition from the private and grammar schools that would be playing as well.

Our first game was against Hedingham and it took the team a few minutes to get into the swing of things.  Sadly we were beaten by one converted try.  The second game against Brentwood didn't start well but a spirited fight back had us within one try and pushing for a third.  Brentwood started to struggle but a lucky bounce meant they scored their fourth and sealed the top spot in the group.  Our final game against New Hall saw us take the lead and if it wasn't for an unlucky slip we would have tied the game.  

The boys showed great resolve and heart.  They never gave up and played better with each game.  Well done and we will have another go next year!
