Day 5

on Friday, 17 February 2017.

Day 5

The last full day of skiing was some of the most successful - and scenic - of the entire week. The improvement in conditions meant that students could leave the Masella valley for the first time and ski down into neighbouring La Molina - and with it were able to enjoy some of the most stunning vistas the entire resort had to offer. One group were even able to spot the local Chamois - a particularly rare sight so high up.

Day 4

on Thursday, 16 February 2017.

Day 4

All students had a fantastic day skiing with an afternoon of pizza and sculpture making. The winning team, lead by Mr. Booth made a mythological creature out of the snow, this was deemed the winner by our coach drivers.

Day 3

on Wednesday, 15 February 2017.

Day 3

Conditions were much better on the slopes today - this meant that students made great strides in developing their skiing techniques. Our most experienced skiers explored the upper slopes, whilst our newer skiers got  an opportunity to move to green runs and they all did themselves proud. It was great to watch the students bond and support each other as they worked to refine their technique - it’s clear that real friendships are being forged throughout the team.

Day 2

on Tuesday, 14 February 2017.

Day 2

We were not able to advance up the slopes today due to bad weather and poor visibility, however, this was a blessing in disguise. All groups were able to focus on their core skills whilst improving their ability on the smaller slopes. The bottom group continued to make great progress, the middle group practiced arial manoeuvres and the top group learnt to ski backwards.

Day 1

on Monday, 13 February 2017.

Day 1

Following a very tiring day of travelling, the students had their first 5 hours of skiing on the slopes today. They embraced the challenge of skiing in a new environment; even their instructors commented on how dedicated and enthusiastic they were.  Conditions on the mountain were challenging at times but no student was put off by this - everyone set out to enjoy themselves as much as possible.
