Jack Petchey Awards

On Tuesday 27th January, Mr Lawn and Mrs Artus attended the Jack Petchey Award Presentation evening, which was held at the Braintree Arts Theatre. The evening was well attended by schools from the local region, and we celebrated the success of six of our students, who received the Jack Petchey Winners’ Award of a boxed medallion for their various achievements. As usual, our students were great ambassadors for the school, looking proud to be AHA students and extremely smart in their uniform.

Jack Petchey Winners for Autumn Term 2014

Please congratulate Sarah Stevens 8N, Katie Helliar 8E and Madison Evans 9L on winning a Jack Petchey Award.  Numerous students were nominated by staff, students and the school council, so it was a very tough decision for the judging panel to make.

Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge

On Thursday 15th May, Year 10 students Josh Greenberg and Chloe Stevens competed in the North Essex regional finals of the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge.

Having been selected for the night from a pool of 50 Year 10s who had completed a day-long workshop with the Jack Petchey Foundation, Josh and Chloe were invited to attend the final at Hedingham School.

Jack Petchey Presentation Evening - 2014

On Tuesday 28th January, the 2013 Jack Petchey Award Presentation evening was held at the Braintree Arts Theatre.  The evening was attended by Students from Notley High School Edith Borthwick School, Southview School, Honywood Community Science College, Maltings Academy, Ramsey Academy, Hedingham School, Tabor Academy, The College at Braintree and New Rickstones Academy as well as our own school.
