On Monday 20 May students from Year 9 and Year 10 attended The Brilliant Club Graduation which took place at Cambridge University, Downing College.

Year 9 and 10 students Hannah C, Archie B, Emily C, Sophie C, Reece G, Myles B, Isabel R, Kai N and Eleanor P all attended the Graduation event.
Students had learned how scientists are decoding the genome, and are using it to understand a variety of diseases. Using multiple case studies, students explored the cutting edge ways in which scientists are manipulating DNA as a potential therapeutic solution.
Following the event a pupil commented: ‘I think that the graduation trip was incredibly helpful in answering any questions and concerns I had about going to and living at university. The Scholars Programme showed me that I will be able to cope with university life and helped my decisions on going to university.’
