Last year the school held an extremely successful week of fundraising for Children in Need, raising £1700! We where also congratulated by the BBC for being in the top 100 schools in the country for our charity work for Children In Need, which we are extremely proud of and we are looking forward of being part of that list again this year!
This year we will be holding a similar Charity Week from 13th – 17th November to raise money for the BBC Children In Need appeal. Each year group will have a day in the week on which to raise money during break and lunchtime in the main hall and foyer. Students will be asked to organise activities in their tutor groups and there will be a prize for the tutor group in each year group which raises the most money.
Friday 18th November (Children In Need day) will also be a non-uniform day and students will be asked to donate £1 to wear non-uniform on that day.
Possible activities include: cake sales, guessing games ( the name of the teddy, sweets in the jar), raffles, bric a brac sales, etc. Students will also be able to organise their own sponsored events out of school if they wish.
There will also be a whole school raffle, with a multitude of prizes including Jonathon Ross' tie! Tickets will be on sale from L3 or in the hall at break and lunch times (20p a ticket and £1 for 10).
Students should bring a small amount of cash to school during the week please in order to support all the events.
The deadline for bringing in any money raised will be Friday 2nd December.
Thank you for your support with this event. We are looking forward to another really enjoyable and successful week.
