AHA in Bach's St. Johns Passion

On Saturday 5th November, members of our student choir took part in the English Touring Opera’s St. John Passion project. This was an amazing experience, allowing our students the chance to perform at the award winning Saffron Hall venue, working with Conductor Jonathan Peter Kenny, Director James Conway, and the Old Street Band orchestra.

The Alec Hunter choir was one of only 3 ensembles performing, the other 2 being Granta Chorale, a chamber choir from Cambridgeshire, and the Anglia Ruskin University Chamber Choir. The ETO is the leading touring opera company in the UK, and we were delighted to be able to offer this opportunity to our students. The performance of St. John Passion was outstanding, and our students were absolutely stunning. They represented the school with pride and were truly excellent ambassadors.
